Black Orchid Studio is a boutique salon located in the Park Hill neighborhood of Denver. Owner-stylist Jessie Laney wanted to create a beautiful and creative workspace for both stylists and clients to feel at home; a studio that encourages positivity and growth.
It is important to us to support a healthier and sustainable lifestyle. We offer sustainable salon quality shampoo and conditioner, and do our best to be cautious of our carbon footprint by using as many reusable tools in the salon as possible. We supply Authentic Beauty Concept hair products, all affordable, cruelty free. and vegan.

Jessie is originally from Michigan but has been living in Denver since 2006. She has been in the industry for 11 years. Originally studying fashion design in college, Jessie’s always had a love for anything creative. Whether it be art, hair, fashion or music, she will immerse herself in it to grow artistically. She specializes in vivid colors, brunettes, balayage and fun textured cuts. When she’s not in the salon you can find her at home with her dog Pugsly and two cats Gus and Roo. Brea is originally from California, but has been doing hair in Colorado for 5 years. While she genuinely enjoys creating any and all hairstyles, she has a knack for textured lived in haircuts. Dimensional low maintenance color and working with natural waves and curls is also something she has a strong passion for. Brea has a strong attention to detail and will always take the extra time needed to perfect any style. When shes not doing hair, shes usually busy playing guitar, riding her bike or hiking.
